These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your registration for and participation in the Africa Mindset Reset Forum (the "Forum"), organised by the African School of Governance ("ASG", "we", "us"), and your use of the Forum registration portal and the official Forum mobile application (together, the "Platforms"). By registering for the Forum or using the Platforms, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not register or use the Platforms.
1. The Forum
The Forum takes place on 25–26 August 2026 at the Kigali Convention Centre, Kigali, Rwanda. The programme, speakers, venue arrangements, and session formats are subject to change without prior notice. The latest information is available on the Forum website and the mobile app.
2. Registration and Admission
2.1. Registration must be completed truthfully and accurately. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you submit, including identification details used for accreditation.
2.2. Submitting a registration does not guarantee admission. All registrations are subject to review, and participation is confirmed only upon receipt of an official confirmation from ASG.
2.3. ASG reserves the right to decline, limit, or revoke registration or admission at its discretion, including for capacity, security, protocol, or accreditation reasons, in accordance with applicable law.
2.4. Accreditation badges are personal and non-transferable. You must present valid identification matching your registration details to collect your badge, and wear your badge visibly at all times within the venue.
3. Participant Conduct
3.1. All participants must comply with the Forum Code of Conduct, available on the Forum website and in the mobile app, which forms part of these Terms.
3.2. Participants must follow the instructions of Forum staff, venue personnel, and security officers at all times, including security screening and access-zone restrictions.
3.3. ASG may remove any participant from the venue and revoke their accreditation, without refund or recourse, for breach of these Terms or the Code of Conduct.
4. Visa and Travel
4.1. Participants are responsible for their own travel arrangements, travel documents, insurance, and accommodation.
4.2. Where requested during registration, ASG may issue a visa support letter. A visa support letter does not guarantee the issuance of a visa; entry to Rwanda remains subject to the decisions of the relevant immigration authorities.
5. Photography, Filming and Recording
5.1. The Forum is photographed, filmed, recorded, and live-streamed. By registering, you consent to being captured in such materials and to ASG using them for documentation, reporting, publications, and promotion of the Forum and ASG, as described in the Privacy & Data-Protection Policy.
5.2. Participants taking their own photographs or recordings must respect session-specific restrictions announced by moderators and the privacy of other participants.
6. Personal Data
Your personal information is collected and processed in accordance with the Forum Privacy & Data-Protection Policy, which forms part of these Terms. For questions or to exercise your data rights, contact registration@asg.rw.
7. The Mobile Application
7.1. The official Forum mobile app is provided free of charge to support your participation, including access to the programme, venue guidance, updates, and notifications.
7.2. ASG grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes in connection with the Forum.
7.3. You must not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or redistribute the app; use it for any unlawful purpose; attempt to gain unauthorised access to its systems or data; or interfere with its operation or the experience of other users.
7.4. The app and its content are provided "as is" and "as available". While we work to keep information accurate and current, the programme and event details are subject to change, and ASG does not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.
7.5. Push notifications, where enabled, deliver event updates and reminders. You can manage notification permissions in your device settings.
7.6. The app may require internet connectivity for certain features; core content may be available offline. Data charges from your network operator are your responsibility.
7.7. ASG may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue the app or any feature at any time without notice, including after the Forum concludes.
7.8. Where the app is distributed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, your use is also subject to those platforms' terms. Apple and Google are not parties to these Terms and bear no responsibility for the app or its content.
8. Intellectual Property
8.1. All Forum content — including the Forum name, branding, programme materials, publications, and content on the Platforms — is the property of ASG or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
8.2. You may not use the Forum or ASG name, logo, or materials for commercial purposes, or imply endorsement by ASG, without prior written permission.
8.3. Views expressed by speakers and participants are their own and do not necessarily represent the positions of ASG, its founders, or partners.
9. Third-Party Links and Services
The Platforms may contain links to third-party websites or services, including live-stream platforms and partner sites. These are provided for convenience only. ASG is not responsible for the content, availability, or privacy practices of third parties.
10. Liability
10.1. ASG takes reasonable measures to ensure a safe and well-organised event. However, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ASG, its founders, partners, and service providers are not liable for personal injury, loss, theft, or damage to personal property sustained during the Forum, or for indirect or consequential losses arising from participation in the Forum or use of the Platforms.
10.2. Participants are responsible for their personal belongings and for arranging their own travel, health, and property insurance.
10.3. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
11. Changes to the Forum and These Terms
11.1. ASG may postpone, relocate, or modify the Forum where circumstances require, including for reasons beyond its reasonable control. In such cases, ASG will communicate updates to registered participants as promptly as practicable.
11.2. ASG may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be available on the Forum website and in the mobile app. Continued use of the Platforms or participation in the Forum after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Rwanda. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Forum shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Rwanda, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections available to you under applicable law.
